In September 1944, Allied forces launched Operation Market Garden, one of the largest airborne operations in history. The daring plan aimed to secure key bridges in the Netherlands and open a swift path into Germany, potentially ending the war sooner. Paratroopers, glider troops, and ground forces faced fierce resistance as they pushed deep behind enemy lines.

While the operation showcased extraordinary bravery and strategic ambition, it ultimately fell short of its objectives, leaving a dramatic and lasting mark on the course of World War II.
