THE MISSION OF VOICES OF WAR

Voices of war was established in 2007 when 2 ex-service men who had both suffered from Post traumatic stress disorder from the Iraq war.
Lee Kamara and Martin Webster formed an alliance, with that they recruited 2 other ex service men they had served with and urged them to use there skills as musicians to write songs about the wars they had experience from.
They were soon joined by Steve Mitchel and Lee Carrol both who had previously had all played together in 1997 to 2001 in a ex Light infantry band called the The Job.

The 4 members of the Job were very fortunate to have two recording studios in Cornwall. Troubadour studios run by Chris Gray and Mojo Studios ran by Matt Chapman, who both agreed to not only record the brilliant music but also provide the logistical and technical sound for a music event held on the 14th of June 2009 called “Voices Of War”
This was also supported by music acts as Ash Wright experiment, Mark Horrel, harmonica Luke and the Made up Tuesdays.

The event managed to raise over £900.00 for Charity and was divided into food vouchers for homeless veterans supervised by the Royal British Legion and Combat Stress.
Most of the funds generated were through the CDs and T-shirts sales and donations from Barry Val motors. W, C Rowes bakery. Steve Dimick from Coop. and County Mortgages. Webster Pools, I D media, Alice from Miss Peapods. Mojo Guitars. Alison Cameron from the Poly.
Also Daddy Nature who provided the sound track to our forth coming documentary.

Voices of war realised there was a place for them and with there product of music they would like for the whole world to hear there music and be inspired by the songs.
Generating money for Combat Stress NHS and the Royal British Legion.
Our Government works along-side these fantastic Charities like The Royal British
Legion and Combat Stress, however These Organisations always need more help! Voices Of War feels that generating 1. Funds and 2. Awareness of Soldiers problems when leaving the service that can develop into suffering with battle shock or P.T.S.D.
Quite simply our brave, courageous Soldiers that risked their lives in Battle, should have Only the best facilities and treatment in order for them to deservedly carry on with their lives with their own families.

This country needs to be proud of its service men and women and has to start to understand the pressures that come after military service.

Voices of war offer the soldiers a ‘Voice’ not spoken by the media or by politicians, but from the Gravel bellies on the ground dodging the bullets.

To buy our track OH God! Voices Of War will donate all proceeds to Combat Stress and Royal British Legion.
If you would like to make a donation there is a separate account this money again will be divided between Royal British Legion and Combat Stress.
